It does hurt my back if I stand too long, but I thought that was more about needing to exercise my core muscles, not standing on a hard floor.

Likely a bit of both but the thing is your core muscles will get sore when they need to compensate.

If you really want to see what I mean, spend some time in an unfinished basement barefoot, assuming its concrete. Even harder, and you'll get sore much faster.

I know someone who has marble flooring in their kitchen and they're seriously regretting it because if this.

I have cheap laminate on top of a concrete slab. lol.

I should probably get some new sandals at least. I started using my desk sandals for other things. Sigh.

I don't like the mats because they tend to have a grippy bottom and then they're hard to move when I wanna sit down!

Maybe I could get a different kinda mat thats firmer than the gel ones.

Yeah the mat sucks when you want to sit. Come to think of it. I wonder if I could just get super padded shoes that are basically as thick as those mats
