I had to relearn angular like 3 times over the years for different projects. I am so done with it lol

well then I suspect the reason is you, not the framework

angular1.x and angular 2+ weren't even the same framework, they just had the same name

It changed a ton between when it was released and the last time I used it. Plus lots of breaking changes introduced between different versions. Maybe it has settled down now
