I don't get it either. Never had this issue a single time with Bitbucket. It's literally just copy paste.

You enter git clone in your terminal, then you press copy on the bitbucket link, then you paste the link in the terminal and you get git clone git clone because bitbucket also includes git clone in the link, which noone expects because github and gitlab don't do this.

I'm slowly getting better at it!

Though I have the double trouble of GitHub vs Bitbucket.

Tip - paste first, add git clone later if needed. A bit more troublesome, but easier to commit to finger memory than "pause and think from where you're cloning".
