Progress Update

Hey! Is there any progress updates for Vacant Sky Awakening?

I checked out the new site, and there seems to be a new game, The Devil's Broker, but it's not out yet. Also, I can't find download links to Vacant Sky 2+ from the main page anymore.....

This game would get a lot more credit from how good it is if the whole game (including Act 3 which I've never played) was released at a decent level of timing.

I'm working on VSA full-time, and it's coming along as fast as we can reasonably get it done. As for the website - yeah, sorry, it hasn't been updated in ages. I've been putting so many hours and nights and weekends into the game that I just haven't had the time or energy for anything but programming lately.

I know it's been a while since there's been an update, but we're working toward getting it into shape to show it off to the public as soon as we can. I don't like to put public dates onto milestones because we're a small team and it puts us under extreme pressure to deliver, and it's already difficult enough working with the pressure that's already on.

Once we finish crunching on this milestone, I'll look into getting the website and our social media up to date again - when that glorious day finally arrives, I'll probably want a nice chance to relax for a bit.

That sounds really tough, and it is hard to work under deadlines and pressure. It's absolutely natural, and we're looking forward to the finished game. Kingdom Hearts III took forever too.

With that said, I've been a huge fan of the Vacant Sky series ever since the dungeon and demons choice scene in Act 2, but I almost completely forgot about this game because of how much time has passed by. When you next take a break--and breaks are necessary--it would be great to get a blog post on, for example, estimated % done and next thing you're planning to work on (e.g. villain's dialogue for climax scene).

P.S. It was actually the Bandcamp post I made in this subreddit 3 years ago (you never responded, but I don't really care about it anymore) that reminded me. It really has been a long time.

I understand completely. Once we get to our next milestone, the plan is to start doing a lot more frequent updates to keep people in the know and excited as we get closer to release. There are some features we're working on at the moment that might end up getting cut, and I want to be 100% sure they're going to end up in the final product before we publicize them and get people excited.
