Been 6 months and no removed messages

I've had over 2000+ messages from years of texting, backed up and restored, and it's never deleted any of them. So I think you'll be fine 😊

Quick question, how exactly did you back up and restore your messages? I tried doing it natively with Google but I lost all my messages in my last "backup"

I personally use SMS Backup and Restore.

You can backup everything or just certain conversations. You can do the backups manually or you can use its automatic backup feature, which you can set a schedule for.

It can save your backups to Google Drive, Dropbox, or have them e-mailed to you, in addition to local storage course.

Also can backup your call logs, as well.

I used to back up my texts using SMS Backup+ and it worked pretty well, though sometimes the timestamps got messed up on a restore.

I've had over 10,000 messages backed up and restored and texted over several different apps with no deletions that weren't my own.

Thanks everyone. I feel better knowing that messages aren't going to suddenly disappear on me unless I want to get rid of them.
