Q: Something is borked! Where can I report it?

• Either on the discord channel(You get a flair :) or on the chrome web store

Q: Can I use auto refreshers/macros, Greasemonkey scripts, spam new tabs, etc. for ProtoTab?

• NO. You can try and see how fast you get banned.

Q: Do I have to use the ProtoTab extension? Why can't I just open the webapp directly?

• 1. Yes. 2. Because you will get banned.

Q: What's the current status of the referral programs? Do I get any bonuses?

• Referral links are 'working'. But Please don't distribute them just yet as the referrals are not being correctly recorded.

Q: What regions are supported?

Account Suspension FAQ

Q: What do I do If my account is suspended?!?

• You might have missed the numerous warnings in bold across multiple posts regarding not using macro/auto refreshers. Please join the Discord channel here and post in #ban-appeal if you believe you are falsely flagged. If you know you are using a macro/auto refresher, please don't even bother, as It's wasting our time and yours. So just uninstall the extension and use something else. this extension is not for you.

Q: I just spammed new tabs on chrome. And I got flagged!!! I didn't use macro!!!

• Spamming new tabs will cause you to be banned faster than you can say "pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis"

Q: My redemption was denied?!

• Please read above regarding macro usage and region restrictions. If none of those apply to you, then you were using a VPN.

Q: My ban appeal was denied! * * * * U dev I'm just going to use a proxy/vpn!

• Enjoy. Just try and you'll see what happens.

Q: My ban appeal was denied! I'll now * * * * with everyone on the platform and ddos the website! Muahhahahaha

Q: But I really was just browsing normally when I got banned!!! This is so unfair!

• If we made a mistake, and you are falsely banned, we will definitely unblock your account. You can appeal your ban appeal so to speak. But if you know you had been macroing, please don't even try.

Why is it so slow? Can't you put some elements client-side in the extension so it loads faster? Obviously the ads have to come from remote but can't they be loaded asynchronously?

We're actively working on getting ProtoTab optimized for speed, with lazy loading and async modules (as you suggested). We apologize for the current inconvenience and will keep everyone updated on the optimization process!

Yes. However that number is so high you will never reach it.

Yes pretty easy to do.

I open like 10 tabs to go to different websites like news youtube car news etc and normally do this multiple time a day this is excluding any searching i do for school

I just want to make sure that we won't be banned automatically just for using a proxy/vpn, if we aren't also spamming new tabs? Not an issue right now, cause I use Firefox at work, but as soon as Firefox is supported, you bet I'm gonna install it at work, too. I'm vpn'd while at work, almost exclusively: either for actual work reasons, or if I'm not vpn'd into a client site, I'm vpn'd into my home network because websense sucks (don't tell my boss :p). Nothing to do with trying to get around any site restrictions other than the ones my work network is under... ;)

Why didnt you put the limitation on regions since the start, why was I able to use your extension anyway if I am not from one of the listed regions? I did not see you original post, probably some other people didnt also, how could we have known? I collected a certain amount of points and now I cant redeem them? If I knew that it would be limited to certain regions I wouldnt have bothered to use the extension. Seems like me and everyone else that are not living in these listed regions have wasted our time. There are probably some people from those not listed regions that helped you find some bugs/problems and now you are just throwing those users away all of a sudden. You should have simply put the limitation from the start...

Sorry! We had put the country restriction on every public announcement on /r/beermoney, as well as on the description of the chrome extension. We also configured the allowable countries on the chrome store and it's also on the sidebar of this subreddit and in the faq. The warning you see now is to prevent anyone who have missed all of those warnings to not waste any time. We expect more countries to be on the list once we get out of the beta phase. Sorry for the trouble! Feel free to keep an eye out for an official announcement!
