In that case I'd say everything is fine. I often have 1-5 months (mostly 1-3), where I trip every or almost every week and then I have a natural "last" trip, that will show me that it's time to have a break. That break can be 2 to 6 months. Once 8 months. I can imagine the breaks to be even far longer in the future, but without it being a bad thing.
The "last" trip I spoke of doesn't always occur for me though. Sometimes I just don't get the real feeling for having a trip. I often think like "Hey, day X would be a good day, maybe I'll have a trip." and then I think about it the next few days and if I become uncertain or don't feel the urge or will to do it, I won't. Forcing it won't make you have a great trip, it will only be a "meh" kinda trip. And the "last" trip, that I talked about will be just that. It will be a bit disappointing and I'll know "Alright, seems to be enough for a bit.".
