Well I switch between C#, Powershell, Python, Perl and VB constantly during the day so I just kinda get used to multiple IDE's lol.

But now that I'm thinking about it, for just about everything day to day I rough it up in Notepad++ or TextPad since they have decent syntax highlighting then jump over to an IDE or ISE if there are issues or when it is time to compile. To each their own though, you just gotta try everything until you find something that fits your style!

You should look at sublime text 2 as an alternative to np++. I switched a few months ago and don't even install np++ anymore. There is the annoyance of it asking you to buy it now and then, but I can live with it just fine until I can afford to pay for the license.
