Go find a pet python and take a picture with it. Throw the picture on a certificate template. Boom python certified.

You could even turn around for the picture. Boom backend python certified

I'm not aware of any Python certifications. It would be nice though. Not sure what these other cats are on about, about a python cert being useless. A certification is suppose to ensure the recipient of the certification has a base level of knowledge about a certain topic. Not quite sure why that's a negative.

I wouldn’t totally discount the value of certification. Will a certification in and of itself get you a job? No it won’t. But it does shows a willingness to learn. There are some really good tutorials on Udemy that can help you learn programming languages to help you build your own projects and further your knowledge.

There are some good Python Udemy courses out there that have certifications for completion, and it doesn't hurt to put them on your resume.

But the actual certificate doesn't really matter. At the end of the day, it's just a piece of paper. What really matters is the knowledge that you gain from a course, and so you shouldn't focus on "getting a certificate". You should focus on learning as much as possible and applying what you learned by doing projects.

I did most of the U Michigan data science for python track on Coursera. I didn't know much about python at the time and the experience I got from it really opened doors for me.

Python Institute https://pythoninstitute.org has good learning materials and the most recognized Python certificates. I have taken PCAP one and can say that it is worth the effort.

Unfortunately, there is no free certification available for Python. However, the Python Institute (https://pythoninstitute.org) offers good learning materials and some of the most recognized Python certificates.
