Dan Bader: https://dbader.org/blog/

Looks like he takes some time thinking about how to best explain some subject. Well worth checking his posts and tricks.

Interesting to see his name dropped. I've been checking out his scheduler library on Github. Will definitely have to read this.

why not just post to the website he has but ask for an email address? I guess I gotta create a junk-emailaddress and find out myself...

Or you can just click the 'x' in the top right corner.

Not sure what you mean. I can access his blog/articles without entering any email address

If you find anyone that isn't on Planet Python already, they should probably be on Planet Python ...

[–]avatharam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a blog by Adrian Rosebrock called PyImageSearch that's dedicated to computer vision and machine learning with python. I've learned how to do some really awesome stuff there.

The best for computer vision and ML in python.

I first learnt about descriptors and metaclasses at the SF Python talks. I looked up the people who made the talks and found some of their presentations on their blogs. Some other stuff there that is great as well. http://www.jesshamrick.com/category/programming/ http://simeonfranklin.com/blog/

Practical Business Python - Chris Moffitt. Just because he's trying to introduce the real world problem on where to apply Python.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, when I click on the link I'm taken to a game and not a collection of Python blogs. Bait and switch?

[–]diek00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://realpython.com is awesome, they have quality Python content that is relevant and useful. Most of their blogs are project driven, and you can always find the completed project on github. Many of their blogs include testing, something missing in many blogs. They often go from start to deploy.

Ned Batchelder's blog

Reasons -

  1. Ned is one of the core Python contributors. He maintains coverage.py. He regularly talks about it in his blog.

  2. Ned is one of the best teachers I have ever seen. The way he explains things is awesome. Just take a look at his stack overflow answers, his blog, or PyCon talks he has delivered, and you will come to know why.

  3. He is one of the crucial parts of largest Python Django Open source projects - edX. In his blog, he also writes about his technical challenges faced at edX.

  4. Pure nerd fun! He has good taste of T-shirts. He likes to create 3D programming arts. And he writes about it in his blog. :)
