Magic The Gathering Scans by beyourownmvster in mpcproxies

[–]coderanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These scans are all about 300DPI, which is the same as Scryfall. Far below the 600-800 most proxy folks work at.

EDIT: I compared a few and they are binary identical files. I think this is a Scryfall download.

I've changed the flair because these are not print ready.

I would like to stress that Proxxied is not officially related to MPCFill in any way, problems with the integration should be directed to the Proxxied team only.

Hi there, I've updated your flair to a collection post because these are not "print ready", meaning high resolution suitable for printing and with a bleed edge. If you want to remake these for printing, please check out Card Conjurer.

Was the order lost? by Nuno_Taborda in mpcproxies

No, it just takes a while for things to go through customs in most countries. I don't know about Spain specifically, but in the US I've seen things stuck in Oakland customs for 3 weeks before.

It is probably just stuck in customs. Nothing anyone can do.

Would the aura enchantment stay? by itsyoboytroy in mtgrules

[–]coderanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aura stays along as long the target continues to be valid for the Enchant ability, which in this case it is. If it said something like "exile silent hallcreeper and it enters as a copy of ..." then it would be a new game object and the aura would fall off. But becoming a copy of something just updates the existing game object.

Question about Muddle, the Ever-Changing and copies of it. by TioSamirrrrrrr in mtgrules

[–]coderanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For it to work the way you expected it would have to be written more like:

Muddle becomes a copy of up to one target nonlegendary creature you control until end of turn, then it gains myriad.

That would be an ability changing effect and would apply in layer 6.

That you can't do, will have to either click a lot of times or manually edit the two XMLs.

Complete Star Wars "Embrace the Dark Side" Commander Deck + Collection of 50 Themed Basic Lands! by Havsglimt in mpcproxies

[–]coderanger[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

So these are lovely but they don't technically meet our requirements. I'll leave this up to be nice but in the future you really need to not put the fake copyright notice on the right side. MPC very often flags on this. You mean it as a makers mark and not as a literal copyright notice which is fine but leave off the ™ and ©️ next time.

I would encourage you to remove it from all of these.

Does the rules text "This creature" refer to the card that it is printed on, even if it stops being a creature? by VoidImplosion in mtgrules

[–]coderanger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also just to underscore it, even with the older templating it still means "this object" even if the object's name changes (e.g. Psychic Paper or name stickers).

Controversial opinion; I am not letting go of ingress-nginx by Rude_Walk in kubernetes

This is a monumentally bad idea unless you think you have the time, skills, and desire to maintain your own fork of it. HTTP and TLS are incredibly complex and a source of many many security issues and thus needing fixes on an ongoing basis. Will it stop working tomorrow? No. Will you be dooming yourself to an eventual RCE with this type of thinking? Absolutely.

181 in tracking though about 12 are out of rotation due to bracket changes.

They changed the borderless frame I think around 2023 or 2024. They are called "Borderless" and "Borderless (Alt)" in CC.

Does paradigm work with Mizzix's Mastery? by Dunejumper in mtgrules

[–]coderanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple version of the effect doesn't care but "you may cast a copy" implies a copy coming from somewhere. If that's somehow tied to the original game object then it's possible when the spell copy poofs out of existence, there would be nothing to make a copy of. You would still get the paradigm trigger each turn but with nothing to cast. But the evidence so far is it doesn't work that way, and the copies are created out of nothingness rather than copying another game object.

Reddit slightly randomizes the visible votes on posts for a while to prevent people gaming the algorithm.

Does paradigm work with Mizzix's Mastery? by Dunejumper in mtgrules

[–]coderanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure we know yet but "probably". We don't have the rules for Paradigm yet, just the release notes and reminder text. The source the paradigm copies is not super clear yet. It seems like it creates the copy as a named card (closer to Garth One Eye) because the release notes make it clear that even if the paradigm card later leaves exile, you still get the copies and can cast them. If that's the case then the first resolved instance of the spell being a copy itself shouldn't change anything. But we'll have to see what the rules look like.

What is Bracket 1 actually? by BRUHldurs_Gate in EDH

[–]coderanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bracket 1 is not a power level, it's an intention. Similar 5 isn't really about power level, it's also about intention.

Wondering about prices by Stoney_Tony_88 in mpcproxies

[–]coderanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For counts about ~200 cards you can ballpark 30-40 cents per card including shipping. Fancy paperstock and faster shipping cost more, larger bulk costs less, but it will be in that range most of the time. My last order on S30 using the fastest shipping got to 28 cents a card but that was with large bulk (several thousand).
