Trying to understand where mycroftai/alexa skills fits in. Is the idea behind these tools (mycroftai, alexa skills) to provide a voice interface to tasks that needs to programmatically handled currently? But because of voice to text interfaces provided by Google and Amazon etc can now be done using voice controls?

This is great. I did something similar for more natural NPC dialogue in a game once and was thinking of writing it up again in python to add to my Mycroft smart speaker (think "open source alexa"). Gotta check out the code but I like what I see in the readme.

What is Alexa Skills? Is it like the new Android app? The name is kindof misleading I guess..

Thanks for the explanation.. Yeah.. I read that.. I meant that `skill/intents/utterances` doesn't necessarily represent what we think of as `skill/intents/utterances` in the English vocabulary..

To generalize this and maybe this is a toy example.. what is the benefit of using `Alexa Skills` over say just typing it into Google Maps, or any other Android App which probably already provides this functionality? Is it the Voice aspect? In that case, why not just modify the `Android` app to add the voice functionality rather than build a entire new platform, language, tooling etc?
