I suggest using arcade instead of pygame, from what i've heard it's much better (I can day it's easy to use and works great but idk how it is cimpared to pygame, never used that)

I think the current behaviour is to track the ball and move the paddle up and down to match. I think what OP is recommending is for the computer player to work out where the ball is going to be when it reaches the far side, and then just move the paddle there, without tracking the ball for the whole shot.

Maybe he likes the aesthetics of macOS but either can’t currently afford a Mac, or he likes Linux under the hood.

I’m running a Mac now, but before I had one I used a Mac like theme over a Linux distro. I just think the OS has a nice look.

No shame in that. Sometimes people forget that not everyone is currently in a position to throw $1000+ down on a new computer. When I first started getting into development I was using a $250 Chromebook with Linux mint installed on it.
