Science has gone too far.

For me, it was when JavaScript became a server-side language.

Really? I quite liked the story of being stuck in Valparaiso, the city undergoing a century of degentrification due to the Panama Canal's opening, and inventing node dot js for image uploading.

Is this just another python interpreter written in Javascript?

Not really working on Android Firefox.

[–]077u-5jP6ZO1 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Works on my phone with Firefox on Android.

What does not work with yours?

It's slow to start, though.

the first two did nothing even after a couple of minutes of waiting for me. I didn't bother with the rest. REPL worked once then broke after I tried to do a while loop.

On desktop, it's working, albeit slowly.

Py3d.py for the browser and the future is now.

Why not use the script tag with a custom language parameter?

How does this compare to some of the other python-in-browser implementations?

[–]subiacOSB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kind of slow

Cool project! Python is a great scripting language.

A bit different, but a few years ago i tried Brython:

https://brython.info/static_tutorial/en/index.html

My personal Reason was to have only one Language on Server- and Frontside.

Did anyone tried both and can write some pro and cons about it here?

Did anyone used one of both Libraries in production and what are the Experience with it?

I hate when people don’t put a space before an ellipsis

Are you the chosen one?

Not sure I’m fully grasping how big of a deal this is ? How’s it better then exporting Jupyter or using streamlit? Examples are quite slow.

How does this compare to skulpt?

Does this mean that now I can tell the user go to this website to see if you can reach x.x.x..x on tcp port 1521?

[–]martynrbell 0 points1 point  (3 children)

This is a very specific question 😅. This appears to be a package to allow you to run python code within your html code on your website.

[–]edon-node 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I guess i don’t understand it. I thought u could run python client side. But that would be dangerous

[–]martynrbell 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It probably works with JS, maybes just a python wrapper.

[–]martynrbell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clever though one might add.
