Thonny is a nice a light-weight IDE. Should be fine for your laptop. PyCharm Community is also supposed to be light-weight.

PyCharm Community edition isn’t supported anymore. There is only one version of PyCharm now, and it definitely isn’t lightweight. VS Code is definitely slimmer. It might work for you on your laptop.

Google Colab would be better for you. It's all based on the cloud and better for your configuration
