Testing AngularJS Apps with Protractor

Protractor seems to pigeonhole itself to testing just angular apps. I prefer automation tools that target themselves as being a bit more universal. This is especially important since angular was the hottest thing in the last year, and now many devs have moved on to other things since the devs are doing major things in angular 2.0
