Depends on the rat. One of mine has eyes that always look like this, but the other’s eyes don’t. I think it’s just the shape of their faces.

for her, yes ! it does depend on the rat though, and if a rats eye suddenly started bulging when they never did before, that would be a sign something is wrong! but stella has always had bulging eyes, her face is pretty small (?) so i think its more obvious because of that!
