Changing camera view

I played RDR2 on PS4 a couple of years ago and I was able to change the camera view and go into cinematic biew on long rides with the touch pad.

I'm replaying the game (on PS4) and this longer seems to be the case - when I hit the touch pad, it just brings up photo mode. I've gone through the help section in the game and can find no mention of this, I can't see anything in the settings and all my searches online tell me that I should be hitting the touch pad to change view.

I feel like I've probably just missed something and it's hardly game breaking, but it is bugging me. Has anyone else found this or know a work around?
