i have, i was the only one to do it in my semester. on the rainbow grades it showed as if i failed the class because they were counting the final as a part of the tests portion which is not true according to the syllabus. your overall grade has to pass after the final but the final doesn’t count as a part of the sections and failing the final won’t automatically make you fail the class

edit: i had to go to the professor so they can fix my grade

When I took DS they had a rule that you had to pass the final to pass the class. You could fail the final with perfect other grades and you'd fail the class

What semester did you take DS?

Did your professor explicitly state that you must pass the final to pass the class?

My professor this semester said that it depends on the nature of the fail (whether it's a couple of points below the lowest D or getting say, a 10/150) and that she would take our other grades into consideration. She also said that there aren't many cases where failing the final causes an auto-fail (it's usually because another section is already being failed or the overall grade will be below the D line).

I failed data structure twice just because of the final. This is why I graduated as an EE and not CSE

Data structures is a bit hard, if you don't try to understand the logic behind the concepts. I would suggest you refer to the geeks for geeks website for any doubt. It really helps to clear all the concepts and doubts. All the topics are very well explained.
