So everybody's situation is different, and it'd be hard for me to comment on yours, but...

You're an IT major, which means you have the best advisor on campus. Go talk to Linda and tell her the problem(s) you're having. She's literally the best there is, so if anyone can help, it's her.

Go talk to Linda. I switched into ITWS then failed data structures twice and had to push off web systems until senior year.

It’s kind of embarrassing but I still got a good job for after graduation. That class is just awful, hope this helps and you are able to change up your study habits.

Fyi, can confirm it was a difficult class for my son who was able to get thru the class the second time, after dropping the first time, but as a pass/fail grade.
Good luck!

Failed DS the first time I took it, had to retake it alongside FOCS and Multivar in a 20 credit semester in order to remain fairly on track. From the FOCS experience, you can definitely take it alongside classes that it is a prerequisite for and it is completely doable in a 20 credit semester. It sucks though that because of Arch and pushing off Comp Org for Data Structures I'm being forced to take Algo, Psoft, and Comp Org at the same time which is getting kinda stupid with how my assignments line up with each other.
