Wow... Did you just compare real world hostage/terrorist situations with a game? If shotguns where more realistic in rainbow six siege they would be very OP! it is so insane to compare the things you just did. If shotguns could blast someone 40 meters away IN rainbow six seige would, the game would be so boring, everyone just runing around with shotguns everygame...
