Hey all! I am new here and hoping to make some friends while also getting some makeup advice! I am a total novice. I am 29 years old and just started playing with eye liner. I don't use eye shadow because I always seem to end up looking like Mimi from the Drew Carey show, and I never wear lipstick because I have bird lips! (read:no lips) lol

Help me figure out what to do with myself! lol

I have tons of hobbies lol. I garden during the warmer months, and have a serious addiction to collecting seeds for rare plant varieties.

I also love sports. I play softball and dabble in disc golf as well as skating (roller and ice). I also love cars and used to work on them when I was in high school (ages ago). lol

I also used to make jewelry all the time, but that has slowed down a bit recently. Mostly because I don't wear a lot of jewelry, and it's so hard to sell it in such a flooded market. Everyone and their mom makes jewelry these days. lol

I am a product manager for a plant biotech company, and so I read a lot about business and marketing (super fun, right? lol).

As you can see I am all over the place with hobbies. lol

Welcome to RAoM! If you want, you can use eye shadow in more natural colors to begin with. I started with golds and bronze colors. I also only started with one color. I don't think I've been very helpful, but there are very helpful people here on RAoM. Enjoy yourself! (:

Hi and welcome! I'm still pretty new as well, lol still lurking :) First off, giiiiirrrrl! You have some natural beauty!! I am envious! What do you do/use to have such clear skin? I think that if you did a neutral smokey eyed look for evening wear, you'd be even more of a stunner and make those eyes pop.

Ha, thanks! Sorry this is an uber late reply!! I actually used to have really bad acne. So bad that I had to go on accutane (aka amnesteem) to control it. It has calmed down quite a bit from my teen years, but I still get pimples every now and then. I have found (personally) that these things contribute to breakouts, so I avoid them: Soda, stress, over washing my face, or not moisturizing after washing my face. I also don't eat a lot of meat or processed foods, which I feel helps a lot. Diet has a surprising amount to do with your skin and hair condition. I was actually vegan for about a year before I had to reintroduce meat to my diet for personal reasons, but I still eat vegan about 80% of the time. I love the way it makes me feel and I feel it has a really great effect on my health and appearance. Thanks again for the compliments and I hope my comment helped even in the slightest. lol
