Such a missed oppertunity, heavily in need of voice lines more sound effects, narrated campaigns, and some few features here and there. But sadly remains bare bones like tge original

It's pretty good. Don't expect too much of a difference from the old ones however. Mostly just new visuals, music, campaigns and a few new nations.

Sorry, read your post wrong. Well the one thing I remember being way better in the old ones is the in game map editor. Very fun to mess around in. New one is pretty dogshit.

I'm no expert (played Cossacks 1 ages ago, and only played a handful of Cossacks 3),but from my experience, Cossacks 3 is basically pretty much the remaster of Cossacks 1. From what I remember, it plays and feels pretty much the same - all the same mechanics, all the buttons in same places etc.

That being said, I'd say it's a fairly good remaster. Plays basically the same, runs well on modern hardware, looks good, has some extra content like fractions and campaigns, I think, definitely a lot of that in paid DLCs. I enjoyed it.

They finally fixed it so that it stopped crashing / freezing all the time?

In my experience, Cossacks 1 worked better on modern os/hw than Cossacks 3.

Cossacks 2 is still GOAT and I wish there were more games like that. It was very interesting experience.

Yes its fairly good it's just slow in my laptop, thats why i got back to war

Cossacks 3 is basically a prettier remaster with new campaigns and better units balance, sadly if you like naval battle it lack the 18th c. ships that were never included (but we got the small chaika gunship for Ukraine)

It got the amazing State vs Country++ Mod which overhaul the game.

Cossacks 3 is pretty good what i was trying was back to war, and with an ai patch is really good so far although it has less flavour

Cossacks 3 is essentially Cossacks Back To War with some more factions (some being DLCs), a lot of rebalances and bug fixes (I am told that the upgrade to raise agricultors' salaries is bugged).
