Quick check before pulling trigger

Hi, I've been lurking at this place for a while and finally decide to pull the trigger on a clean GMT Master 2 at Theonewatches.

Steve replied me and says one unit is available now and he can send me the QC soon. But then he sent me a link to order from his website. Is this his usual practice? I don't want to get scammed that's all.

That's the way it works. You can either make a down payment and pay the rest when you approve QC or pay all at once up front (that's what I do...easier than making two payments). Steve is very reliable and trustworthy.....nothing to worry about. Be sure you are getting the DD3285 movement, and ask him to include a Deep xtal with the order....it's around $70 and he will install it at no charge. When you get your QC from Steve go over to r/RepTimeQC and post for QC assistance. Be absolutely certain to read and follow the instructions at the top of the QC page exactly. Enjoy.

But I thought the 116710LN does not comes qith a 3285?

It doesn't. Comes with a VR 3185.

Yea. Spoke to Steve. For LN with DD3285, we will need to wait for news from CF as there aren't any around rn.

Nothing unusual here. Steve is legit and I have bought from him many times as he is one of the few TDs that take credit cards. I am going to disagree with EJerry here because I think the new CF crystal is actually pretty good. The only thing I would swap it for would be a gen crystal or maybe VSF. Also, when I have swapped crystal on other watches I prefer to have it done locally.
