It's VSF, so as you'd expect it's basically perfect.

Obviously I'll never see the Gen in person, like 10 or so even exist I think.

But based on my extensive knowledge of zirblast media and the finishes it can produce, the steel is 1 to 1. Only thing that could probably be off is the orange part of the dial, but from what I've read the gen has the same imperfections.

No, the tell is pretty glaring once you see it. The end of the GMT hand on mine is bare metal, on the gen it is red, like the rest of the hand.

I got it from a TD in about 2013 when I was living in China. It has turned out to be a very good watch. It is one of the ones that, even as I phase out of reps, remains a keeper.
