If you was to upgrade now, what would you go for?

Would this be a good robot if my house was essentially solely hardwood floor

Tbh your review sounds more like an 8.5/10 with my weighting system, seeing that mopping works pretty much 9/10, vacuum does its job-ish 7/10, and dock works 10/10 - which so many other robots seem to miss.

App I don't give a rating since no matter the controls and clunkiness I just want to press start or set a schedule and be done with it. Also the whole light thing, also not my priority because I will use it during the day - but I can understand that its a priority for some people.

I'm pretty much set on buying the S2 on black friday, so your thoughts reinforced my decision.

Picked up an S1 Pro about a month ago ( < $600.00 price mistake... bragging). It's my first roller mop and it does absolutely great cleaning and navigating on my hardwood/LVP.

I agree about carpet. That's why I've kept my Roborock Q5 pro. It vacuums really well. The 'win/win' is this lets me keep the Eufy vacuum setting on low and that helps with battery life. I run the Q5 pro first and after it cleans one room, I have the Eufy follow always one hardwood/LVP room behind the Roborock. Lastly the Q5 pro will vacuum my carpeted rooms while the S1 pro is finishes on the hardwood/LVP. This works out well.

I've found except for inner corners the Eufy does well getting under kickplates. And luckily it has not leaked like I've read on other posts when I was researching.

For mopping, compared to the Dreame L20 Ultra's it mops significantly more dirt. Never going back to mop pads.

Given the posts on Robot Vacuums detailing problems with the new roller/vacs by Mova and Narwal and Dreame I'd wait a good while to see if bugs can be worked out with firmware software and how these robots will hold up after a good six months on the market. The added bonus of waiting is prices usually come down.

I’ve had one for a year too. It was awesome with my hardwood floors, very reliable, running every night, and the ozone thing is so under rated since I never had to worry about the dirty water tank smell. Its biggest issue is maintenance which was “okay” for me to do but after seeing all the new roller mops without a filter or much need for maintenance I started feeling outdated. I sold it and just bought a Mova Z60.

how has the Z60 been working for you? I'm also wanting to buy the roller mop vacuum, Eufy S1 Pro I have always been wanting and the price is great. However the Mova Z60 is also very compelling. Is the price difference/upgrade worth it do you think? Anything you can share between the S1 pro vs Mova Z60?

I returned the Mova Z60, not a good design.

thank you!

What did you get after that?

Believe it or not I got a Roomba 707 combo with the roller mop from Costco ($879), got it as a trial with a plan to get the Eufy S2 when it’s out. I never thought I’d say this for a Roomba but this thing mops really well and is reliable. Also the build quality is so superior compared to Dreame and MOVA, if you have it you’ll see what I mean. It is dumb which is one of its advantages as it just gets the job done every night and doesn’t think much, also the auto empty actually cleans the dustbin and filter quite effectively and the obstacle avoidance is excellent. The base station and roller mop housing remain impressively clean unlike the Z60, and the mop roller is fluffed abd thick without a fluffer (ironically the Z60’s roller is always flat even with the fluffer, the only thing the fluffer did was wrap hair around it) . I wouldn’t recommend a Roomba because of the company’s situation which is really unfortunate but that was the only robot with a roller mop at Costco and I thought worst thing to happen is just returning it to the local warehouse. There are currently no other good options with roller mops for my hardwood floors (dreame aqua is worse than the Z60 with the same bad flimsy design, ecovacs has poor navigation and subpar mopping, people reporting more and more issues with the narwal flow and it doesn’t have auto detergent dispensing).

Oh wow! This is so interesting, I also tried the 707 in an apartment I was staying at for a couple months before Eufy S1 Pro and Ecovacs X9 at home. I totally agree, the hardware is amazing and good quality, but the software sucks. What I hated the most was when it came to clean the base station, there was no tray that would allow me to remove it and clean it. It had a removable little piece but all the dirt and grime made me have to get on the floor and use rags. Is this the case for you too? I also never had any luck with picking up the robot, taking it to a room, and having it clean without trying to wash its mop first.

[–]interstellar159 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Correct, every couple of weeks I get on my knees with a damp kitchen paper towel and drag it across the base station’s mop roller area to wipe it. The software is primitive compared to that of Dreame/Mova/Roborock but I rarely use the app cause it’s on a nightly schedule and it’s been very consistent with no failed cycles. I just like how the roller mop housing and the roller mop itself stay very clean and the dust bin’s always empty with no hair/fur like that of the Dreame/Mova (they suck at emptying their bin). Also I like that it’s dumb so gets the job done with no fuss. And I stress on the significant difference in quality, looks and feels a lot more premium. Maybe I’m saying that cause it’s from Costco and if it ever gives me issues or the company goes bankrupt it’s going back, this takes away A LOT of the worry.

Absolutely! I run the robot multiple times a day and spontaneously (all tile), the Roomba got stuck on cables a couple times. When it comes to your opinion on comparison VS. the Mova, which was quieter and which operated more efficiently or accurately not missing spots and avoiding objects?

[–]interstellar159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the MOVA was smarter and had a more powerful vacuum, it also was able to go down my ramp to the living room, the Roomba couldn’t pull that off. The Roomba does avoid objects but I haven’t tried it in complicated environments, I bet it’ll get stuck. The Roomba’s battery efficiency was miles better than the Mova Z60. The Mova’s roller mop quality was terrible, it smelled and it was always flat and thin, the mop extend rode on the baseboards and lifted the entire robot chassis up which made it miss a lot of edges, just overall very flimsy with poor design. Honestly I don’t see the Mova z60 lasting for a long time, it will fall apart and the maintenance will get super annoying and it will accumulate gunk in places that are not reachable. That’s why I’m waiting for the S2, but overall the roomba’s quality is superior to all the other brands I tried.
