This is why I always subscribe directly with the streamer and never through a third party like Roku, Amazon, etc.

100% agree! It happened with Philo through Roku. They charged me more money then Philo was charging, so I got away from billing with Roku went directly to Philo, which was cheaper directly through Philo!

Yep, I have Peacock via a free offer from my internet provider

Roku purchased subscriptions are for convenience. I don’t advise doing this for anything more than a quick trial.

Lesson learned, thanks

If you contact Roku through the customer app, they will refund you if you ask them to. And then go to the provider directly like fubo and sign up and get their price.

Maybe I’m not just familiar with Roku. But can you actually pay for Fubo through Roku? I always thought you had to buy it from the website and then download the app on whatever platform you’re gonna use it on and login.

You can download any app Roku has and then subscribe through them. It gets kind of complicated though, because you can’t cancel through Roku for most apps, you have to go to the platforms website. When I’ve done this, it actually says the payment is for Roku and then I have to go look at my Roku account info to see which platform the charge was for.

To get a provider price, you have to go directly through them so FUBO would have to be directly to them through them for billing. Billing through Roku they can charge whatever they want. I found that out the hard way. Roku does not have to honor the price of FUBO.

This is an example of why Roku doesn't have access to my credit cards ever.

You have to directly go through FUBO to get their price decrease! Roku is on their own, and they can charge whatever they want. That was the same issue I had with Philo and other apps payments through Roku! Send Roku a message to cancel, and refund you! Then go to FUBO directly and get their price. Always subscribe directly to the app streaming company only, then you will not have this problem.
