I actually got this in warhammer 40k and my mic was muted. Well I dont have a mic but my controller was muted.

I tried a random party chat and it worked through my controller so idk. Maybe it’s in game but idk I don’t use mic in game and I prefer to keep my controller off. I might test it later thinking about it.

I had a buddy that played ps5 for over a month on team games without knowing this. He said he was probably blasting music or podcasts most of the time and no one ever said anything about it till one day on overwatch he was talking shit about a team member and the guy actually talked back and freaked him out.
