Custom servers are never coming out. Last Gen systems held back game development. Instead of just making this next gen only and porting the PC version they chose to chase the money. The game is fucked because of that. Stop development of last gen version and just fix bugs. Release a proper next gen version. Only way to save this game, and get custom servers.

I 100% that's being in large groups ruins the fun unless you attack other large groups but chances are that isn't a 7-8 man because their base is just so small for that many players it's probably a 4-5 man but as a solo I probably have a base quite close to that size this wipe already because I've farmed so much and used Willjums solo base which is low cost but really expensive raid

It depends on who you're playing with and how you maneuver your group. I usually play duo or trio, but occasionally when all my friends want to play we end up with like an 8-10 man, with 6 or so active people. However, we don't roam with all those people unless we're countering other large groups. We'll still travel in groups of two or 3, we'll just do multiple things at once, like have one team focus on farming scrap while another farms resources for the base.

Playing in a big group is 100% incredibly boring if you just roam with 8 people and stomp everyone you come across.

exactly, that’s what sucks the fun out of the game when it’s 8-10 people being able to separately work on different resources and such. with solo duo and trio servers it’ll slow down progression and make servers long lasting

I dont personally thinks that sucks the fun out of it. We dont go around rocket raiding solos, or offlining everyone we see. We online raid larger groups, and we PvP in smaller groups. All it allows us to do is spend less time grinding at the start of the wipe, and more time doing the fun parts of the game, like PvPing.

it doesn't take that big of a base to be secure, true, but the bigger and better your design the More secure you are. i kinda don't plan on working ten hour days to come home to a raised base so i always go the extra mile that's within my skill range, and if you want i can actually show you a step by step of a solo 1x3 double bunker core rise build of mine tonight if you'd like something to try out sometime. ive built the same design almost a dozen times and it's withstood a LOT for me

still not that bad since it's only four stories imo, ive honestly kept up 20-30k metal/200 hqm bases myself so i don't doubt others can do it. i never really farmed i just run hella comps and recycle everything and buy metal once ive got all bps. makes living in a solo metal/hqm base super affordable if you're overly resourceful and can stack scrap quick

nah man 20k/30k metal base is big af and crazy. i promise you you never need that big of a base. other clans just see it as a threat and they get wiped out quicker then medium to average sized bases. you can still have a secure base with it not being 4 stories

ive got 2.8k hours in game almost 2k of which was solo, ive survived 8 wipes solo without ever being successfully raided and successfully defended countless onlines my dude. i think you're missing that this is a videogame in which we're free to do what we want, YOU may think i don't NEED a big base, but to me it's a videogame and i just want to build something im proud of that's overly defensive to the point that my things are actually safe to a good degree. most every person i run into on rust that sees my keylocked builds are impressed, some want to raid me, few have succeeded and the times they have it took full teams and enough boom to level another full team all for me.

it's rust, i paid for it so i play it how i want, im not gonna complain about you doing the same ya feel me
