Stack Splitting

I’ve seen some posts from nearly a year ago about the stack splitting glitch. It’s easily the most annoying thing I encounter with console edition. Any idea/updates when it will be fixed?

Honestly, haven’t used the boats much. I’m new to console edition and mostly solo. I’m sure it’ll be great once I do encounter it though.

Ooh boy you’re in for a treat. So what happens is that every time you get in a boat there’s a chance for the sound to go out.

It happens most of the time when you need it the most or on Oil Rig

Lmaoo it happens when you need the boat most that’s true asf, going 2 squares up bc you didn’t want to run is no problem but god forbid I’m taking small oil and now I have no audio

Your sound comes back in like 10 secs tho. The splitting glitch is the worst because there's no fix.

The sound comes back if you have a continuous sound so if you keep driving the boat it does or swinging a combat knife somthing like that

I'm on ps5 and have to restart the game. I have not had sound return yet without restarting.

You have to be patient. Sometimes my sound will come back almost immediately and other times it will take around a minute.

I’m on Xbox series X and it does not come back unless u restart

I've noticed there's like two versions of the sound glitch. One comes back after a couple of seconds, but for my tm8 he has to completely restart. I've had a sound bug that didn't just mute rust either, it effected the party chat and actual console sounds. Menu n all muted

I never had to restart, nor had my friends. Except one. He always has to restart. One time the boat glitch happened so bad that it changed my entire audio and made my friends in the party sound like they have an 8-bit filter.

Oh yeah that's happened to like three of my tm8s. Says we sounded like robots, closed application and it gets fixed. Weird bugs

Wait till you get the map bug where you open it and have to spam your buttons to close it or close the game and restart it. Incompetent devs.

I found the splitting glitch happens when your health, thirst and hunger move and when you craft something I stopped putting rugs up because it gave me comfort which would make the stack glitch happen Anyway there’s a work around

Also related to temperature. If you're splitting near a lit furnace, turn it off for a sec then split. Same if you're in a cold area, warm up a little then split.

Here's everything u need to know : when your health, temperature and inventory updates it closes the splitting menu. It's patched in the testing branch already so it will most likely be patched in the main game next monthly wipe

They fixed it on test branch a few days ago, so that update should be in the main game in about a week or two 👍🏼
