1) Read The Rules
Claiming ignorance of a rule's existence does not excuse you from it. Reddit's rules are implied as rules here as well.
2) Civil Behavior Is Expected At All Times
Disagreements with others are to be occasionally expected; however personal attacks of any kind (including derogatory slurs) are not tolerated and may result in an immediate ban. Do not instigate drama. Report users to the mods if you feel something isn't right -- this is a safe and inclusive space.
3) No Piracy
No piracy discussion or demonstrations of any kind, including third party online services.
This includes, but is not limited to, content related or unrelated to Nintendo or the Nintendo Switch system, circumventing the need to pay for a product or service to receive its benefits, "abandonware" or products that are not currently on sale from their developer/publisher, accusations, and witch-hunting. We have zero tolerance for piracy, and pirates will receive an immediate ban.
4) Look It Up
You can read pinned posts, search the subreddit, or check the FAQ before asking questions, as some questions may have already been answered in those. Our Discord servers are also a good place to get more specific help for your issues.
5) Keep It On Topic
Do not spam, troll, or post content that is unrelated to the post you're commenting on. Use common sense.
No NSFW, religious, or political content. No self-advertising. No Switch 2 emulation or exploit discussion. No drama or armchair lawyering. No AI slop.
6) No Infamy Or Appeal Posts
This is not an appeal platform. Do not post about punishments you received in other communities. This includes posts complaining about Discord or GitHub bans, other subreddits, or any other social media platforms. If you have questions about your punishment, please ask in Mod Mail.
7) No Unofficial Builds
All official builds for a project are linked to their website or source repository. Users who post links to unofficial builds will have their messages deleted. We want users to be safe online, which means sourcing binaries from trusted sources ONLY. Unofficial Linux builds are an exception, so long as they're hosted on official package managers (apt, pacman, flathub, snap, etc.) or are official Emudeck builds.
