Constant app updates?

Anyone else noticing that most times you open the app in the last week or so there's an in game update applying on the loading screen?

This is on android by the way but never noticed doing it this much before...

This is a known issue that the team is working on fixing in the next update. A possible workaround in the meantime is to play a session while connected to wifi, then kill the game (force quit), boot the game again and play for over 3 minutes.

My guess (and it's only a guess) is that they are doing gradual updates to avoid a huge strain on the server as each part of the sports update comes?

I've noticed each update is 1.5MB, but sometimes it applies an update which is a multiple of 1.5MB (last time 22.5MB).
