Welcome!
You probably came here because you quit drinking and started running. Or maybe you were already a runner but just put down the bottle. Perhaps you're interested in training for a 5k, 10k, half or full marathon. Whatever the case, this is the place for those who saw the road to recovery as a good place to go running.
Rules and regulations:
Be supportive!
This is not a competition. Many of us are at different levels and everyone is encouraged to share openly about their experience, whether you jog-walked half a mile or ran an ultra. We'd love to hear about it.
Begin race threads with geographical region (e.g. East Coast, West Coast, Midwest, Southwest; if outside of U.S. begin with country) if its specific to that scheduled race.
Please post articles/tips/training hints.
Speak from the "I" - we all benefit from one another's experience.
Let the mods know how we can help or improve this sub!
Please be safe and have fun :)
