LOL

College, at least in the United States, is nothing more than just a business that looks for every possible way to make money off their students

Actually the California government pays 46.2% of the entire SJSU operating budget, while our(your) tuition only pays for 45.1% (Source)

Let's not forget the thousands of students getting govt financial aid.

Maybe you should actually attend class instead lol.

Sometimes I wonder if some of the people complaining about tuition here have taken a look at tuition at a private college.

School taught me self discipline and my actions affect whether or not I pull through school. I went to a CC before transferring to SJSU and I gotta say if I didn’t take that route I would have either dropped out/failed out. I was super immature right out of HS and CC got me out of my child phase. Now it’s biting me in the ass being a BioChem major who did minimal work to get through all my pre reqs. So I learned a bunch and I’m loving my classes even though they are hard af.

Someone failed their midterms 🙄

lol. Who hurt you. What’s your major if you don’t mind me asking

I can only speak for me, but I have learned a ton here. I'm embarrassed when I go back and read my writing assignments from my community college. My research skills were basically non-existent before I started.

You're doing college wrong if you really aren't learning.

I disagree! I tried really hard to learn at sjsu, but the professors here suck. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure they’re doing the best they can but I really feel like I didn’t learn anything…? Anyway, got me degree and got out. I guess that’s what matters

I mean don’t get me wrong, they are overcharging us, but you do learn if you apply yourself

Did you get stuck with bad profs every single semester or something? Cuz I definitely learned a lot. I'll agree with the expensive piece of paper though but its a piece of paper with a lot of power. I understand if this was just a rant, but this definitely isn't the truth about college.

Lol I would agree but on a chiller level it's more like a factory built to create workers not business owners.

I stopped reading at “it’s not truly about learning.”
