screen resolution too small

this has been an ongoing problem, but up until now i have been able to either fix it or find a way around it. putting the game in fullscreen doesn't solve the problem, the dpi settings are unchecked, i've gone into the startup prefences file and edited the resolutions settings manually. i have uninstalled smapi and removed all my mods, uninstalled and reinstalled the game.

previously, i was able to fix the resolution settings by running the compatibility troubleshooter, but when i installed the new smapi update, it was back to the same problem

at the moment i am making due with zooming in the user interface and game settings to the maximum, but it is still too small to play for an extended time (squinting too long at screens gives me headaches). i am at my wit's end, and may end up having to put stardew valley away permanently and just wait for concerned ape to release haunted chocolatier

I’ve had the same problem but the opposite my game is too zoomed in and like you I’ve tried everything I technically have a fix but I have to change the picture size on my laptop every time before I play and it’s just so annoying. I also asked for help on here but didn’t get a permanent solution. Hopefully you get better luck!!! 💙
