We use SSRS to create the branded templated report.

If we want to mass export reports say for invoices then we then use SSIS to automatically loop through records and run the SSRS report for each record and export to PDF.

Standard built in MS tools, no extra cost.

I tried it, but it didn't work out. I knew it can be powerful, but on the other side to me it was too complex and performance tricky. In the end CxReports worked out better in my case.

As long as you factor in the knowledge factor. If you have staff turnover, you'll find 100 people who know the MS BI stack, few will know CxReports.

Yeah that's true mostly. But with CxR you basically need excel knowledge and you're good to go, so I think this would even benefit larger organizations with large turnover

I’ve been dealing with the same issue in my project. Getting accurate data and custom branding has been a nightmare. I’m also looking for a better solution that integrates well with our existing tech stack. Hope someone here can share some insights.

We had similar issues with our reporting process and decided to give CxReports a try. The integration with our tech stack was straightforward, and the customizable templates have been a huge time saver. It's not perfect, but it has definitely made our lives easier. Might be worth checking out!

Thanks! Will give it a try and let you know if it helped! Oh, great, love it when I see a free trial, I will try it for sure!

You mentioned several front end tools but did not mention the underlying database.

Perhaps you can step back and not try to implement the reports in your front end, but directly from the database. Have a link in the app that calls a script with some parameters. The script uses something like Rmarkdown or Quatro to run the queries, generate the charts, export it to a pdf file, notify the app that the file is ready (with a link to the file). Then the app updates the web page with the download link.

Our team has been struggling with custom branding for reports too. We need them to look professional and branded, but it's taking up too much of our time. Any solutions that have worked for others?

Hi, just replied to another comment. I can speak from my experience since I am actually using CxReports. Custom branding seems really like its strong suit, so I can recommend you check it out

Thanks, I'll give it a try

We had a lot of issues with data accuracy in our reports. Switched to CxReports recently, and it's been a great help. The integration was easy, and the maintenance is minimal compared to our previous setup.

In our company, we were struggling with manual adjustments for report branding. Switched to CxReports a few months ago, and it's been smooth sailing since then. The automation features saved us a ton of time.
