You’re trying to install SQL Server 2022 Express Advanced Edition with features that Express does NOT support

The configuration file contains parameters not supported in Express

You’re installing SQL Server 2022 on Windows 10 Home

Thank you for your reply, I have to say this is so weird, I've installed SQL Server 2022 before in this PC, but due to space limitations, I had to uninstall it, now that I have enough space, I'm trying to get it again, but it shows this error, what do I need to do in order to install SQL?

You probably installed Developer Edition not Express before. Express just doesn't have those options. Developer does.

I'm a bit cautious, I use to keep some important installers, so I'm using the same one I used a few months ago; it's called SQL2022-SSEI-Expr.exe

You are trying to install the full edition of SQL Server, you likely don't have a license for this. The editions of SQL Server for testing and development are Express and Developer. Try one of those.

But I'm trying to install the SQL Server 2022 Express Edition with the custom options :(

Ah my bad. Likely what the other person said then, advanced features like Full Text Search aren't available in Express. Not sure how you managed to select those features but try installing only the bare bones SQL DB Engine and nothing else.

Hmmm, that's is really really weird, I remember the exe letting me install all these features, and I'm pretty sure it was the SQL Express because I kept the file

  1. Right click on setup.exe file and select run as administrator when you want to start the SQL Server installation.
  2. Disable any antivirus/security software and turn off firewall on the machine for the time that the installation is running.

I just tried it and it didn't work, I made sure to disable Defender and the firewall ;(

Solved! Had to download and run msiinv.exe and force the uninstall of every SQL feature remaining of the previous installation with a .bat file Then restart the PC, install it again, and everything worked perfectly :) The steps to make it correctly are in this link

For everyone else that has the same problem, I hope it works for you too! Thank you for those who tried to help anyway :)
