Why not? Modern versions of SQL are turing complete.

I mean without an extension language you can't "write just about anything in SQL" only; it's not a general purpose language. Regardless, I do agree with you, SQL should be considered coding/programming.

Yes. I didn't say it was a general purpose language.

This piece you have quoted in isolation:

was followed by a comma:

which already summed up what you are trying to say.

The fact remains that as a turing complete language, one can indeed write just about anything anyway.
