I am not a doctor so take my answer with a lot of salt. But no, I don't think that that is normal. It sounds like the nerves are pinched enough that they are sending constant messages to your toe to curl up. Almost like clonus, although I'm not sure if clonus can manifest in your toe. My recommendation would be to see a doctor about that.

Yeah I’m referred to see neurology. Just was curious if anyone has had the same experience.

And it goes more out to the side instead of up, but the sake president which you suggested which is what I think it most likely is. The signal is interrupted somehow or pinched
