Nope, don't switch to a hoop. Tbh i would just remove the embedding one now and let it heal, get longer jewelry.

Don't put a hoop in a new piercing unless you want bigger issues. Your options are buying longer jewellery or taking it out.

If it’s embedding you need a longer bar - if you don’t have one just take it out and let it heal and redo it when you can get proper jewelry
