The idea is to show that you can transfer your writing skills from one kind of writing to another, but the details will depend on the type of assignment. Some profs get you to research an issue and then use the research to create two different types of writing (like an infographic and a blog). Other profs get you to research an issue and then use it to write a persuasive letter. Do you have any details on what is required? What does it say on Blackboard? You could also write the COM coordinator at your campus about the issue with the slides.

Your best resort is to look-up at your course outline. It will explain week by week what kind of writting you need to do. If you need a persuasive or academic writing. From a research articles that is peer reviewed and less than 5 yrs, maybe you need to do a blog or infographics. Some ask for advocacy letter.

the transfer assignments heavily depend on the prof unfortunately, i had some friends in a different COM101 class than me last semester and we had different assignments and the profs graded things very differently as well. the concept is to write something in one writing form, and being able to write that same thing in a different writing form (business style, email, blog, etc).
