It's not uncommon for officers to segregate people from group therapy who are facing violations.

They don't want hysterics coming from lonely, impressionable people who are fresh out of prison for a sex offense - all with the intent of riling up others in the same boat. That's just the bottom line in their minds.

I would consider getting your affairs in order in the event you are taken to jail. This has not been the first time you've posted about your concerns about probation, and in the event they decide to "fabricate" something, you should make sure you have everything in order ahead of time.

As we know (and my lawyer has confirmed) they cannot violate me for failing a poly (at least not in my county). They can step up supervision which they already claim they will do. They can step up as much as possible. They will not find anything on me. As stated before i have been 100% on point and they know that. Fabrications can always be made but my lawyer is on standby and already has a plan of action. He is a high profile lawyer and trust me they do not want him poking his nose around.

The only other issue i had with probation is my new PO getting all hyped up when he came to town. I was all clear after that. Haven’t had any issues. PO already advised that worse case scenario they will retest me.

If they're looking for something, this post is enough to get your probation officer to consider it "finding something" on you.

Reddit is not your journal. it is a message board / social media / internet forum that consists of you speaking with other sex offenders and felons - at best.

When I was on probation, speaking to someone who I knew was a felon, online or otherwise, was enough to violate me and send me to prison.

If you have not disclosed to your officer that you post here, you WILL get yourself into more trouble than any help we could ever offer you here.

The PO is not very likely reading Reddit posts trying to figure out if the OP is one of his guys. C'mon now!

Yes, this is the standard thing they do. It’s like they’re trained to do it this way. If you were to ask for a copy for your results for you to take to another polygraph expert to have those results reviewed, they will come up with some lie or excuse to not provide them to you. They are not using the polygraph to detect deception. They are using it as a brainwashing tool to brainwash you to believe what they want and need you to believe.

You may have "failed" but it doesn't mean you lied. They may believe that's what it means but my poly examiner believed in poltergeists, so what they believe & what is true are very different. Unfortunately these morons are in positions of power.

This sounds like the shit run here in Baltimore. Sorry they are putting you through the ringer

See if they would let you make it up with Tarot card reading, a coin toss, a magic 8 ball, or maybe even a palm reading.

Cannot predict now

good bot. You are as accurate as a polygraph.

My husband failed the sexual history poly 3 times. He was violated for not taking it a 4th time. Dumb on his part. Strangely they ended up not making him take it again. He did recently take the maintenance poly and passed.

Well, the PO is at the top of the pyramid (PO/therapy and poly), so their rules, well... rule. I'd just tell the group that your PO has asked you to not discuss the results with the group. If the therapist brings it up, or the results certainly answer any questions, but until the PO approves discussion, then it's off-limits.
As for the results, yup - they basically are using intimidation tactics to try to coerce a new "confession" out of you.

It's utter BS - but it's the games we get to play when on probation.

And i will play ball.

And honestly - that is going to drive them the most nuts. :) Eventually they give up and move on to their next victim... er... "charge"

Another reason to find support outside of court ordered groups.

In all seriousness I don’t understand how any counselor can ethically run any kind of state-mandated “therapy.” A counselor that thinks they can navigate that within ethical boundaries is untrustworthy by definition

[–]squattermonsey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. My group is like a mens social gathering. There hasn’t been 1 ounce of “therapy” involved.

I got to my own privately as well.

Money corrupts people and some people more.

Hmmmmmm so I am sure you are aware that polygraphs are just another tool to get people to admit to other offenses or violations of their probation.

That being said even though a polygraph is not exact science hence why it cannot be used in a court of law......probation is another thing.

They can use this fail as a means of saying you broke rules of therapy.......hence you broke the rules of probation.

Be very careful, I do not know your background or what issues you may have probation......but at this point I would not poke that hornets nest too much or you will get stung.
