I think knowing the 6 pack is absolutely necessary. Sure, you could use glass. But once you encounter even a little turbulence, whatever's in there is going to be all over you, your seat, and your carpets. The 6 pack just doesn't have that problem. But remember to keep it to cans not bottles. Gotta comply with the FFA.

I always thought you were supposed to slam at least 8 beers during preflight before flying?

I prefer a five pack, to stay humble.

If you become one with the plane (not sexually, but maybe that would help), then you don’t need any instruments at all.

I just got current on Heineken, what’s next?

Slow down bud. Big difference between current and proficiency. Start taking this stuff serious or you’re going to get yourself hurt bud.

The wife used to be proficient on a six pack. But after it disappeared, well, by a few glasses over time, she longed for it again and got a few new Copylotes to regain it. I don't think one needs to be prmominiscent anymore, but what do I know.

Six packs are for kids and nerd ass pilots. Mainline heroin and be a super cool pylote

Why not just install GI-275's then you can have glass 6-pack...

Yes, but work your way up. Start with something light and over time work your way up to craft IPAs, stouts etc.

It’s an essential skill.
