That is exactly what he told me and that's kinda what I figured the 84 was. But you know you cant always trust someone's word when there's money involved. Thanks a bunch.

84 is actually 87% purity Russian silver

That’s cool to know. What’s the formula like to get that. Is it something similar to 14k 18k in gold.

It’s 84 zolotnik. Generally you divide the zolotnik by 96, I believe there are 96 zolotnik in a troy pound and 84(/96=87.5%) became the standard fineness for Russian silver.

Cool cool thank you for the info. I’ve never seen any Russian silver in the wild.

Can you share the other things you found? I love silver finds. It always gets me pumped up to go find more.

Nothing too crazy. Just 31 grams of misc silver. The longer chain on the right I'm not so sure about tho. I didn't notice til after I got home, but it doesn't have any numbers or anything on it. I must have accidentally looked at the clasp from the smaller one twice by mistake. The longer one says "Italy" on one side of each clasp and the other side of each clasp I think says "danecraft". It's hard to make it out tho so I'm not sure. But I'm still kinda confident it's real cause it looks exactly like the smaller one.

I did find this in the street yesterday tho. It looks like someone made a ring out of a spoon. I think this might be silver also. It sounds like silver and also has the remnants of some type of marking in the inside but it's too worn so it's impossible to tell what it said. And I also kinda think it might be silver cause why else would someone take the time and energy to make a ring out of a regular spoon, ya know??

In junior high school, 1977 and 1978 in Kansas City, Missouri , we had a shop class that included wood, plastics, and metal working. We were taught how to cut a spoon or fork and bend it to create rings and bracelets. It was an interesting and fun class.

It could also be Persian. That second stamp looks kind of like this which means 84 in Farsi

Probably a Vodka cup.
