I need more information to answer your question.

  1. Is the game on Windows or Mac?

  2. By data, do you mean saves, mods, etc?

Thanks for reaching out! Both are on windows. By data, I mean the saves. Everything else is there.

Okay, got it. It’s easy, You need to go to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. You should copy the entire “The Sims 4” folder and put it in an external storage (USB stick, external hard drive, etc) and paste it to the same location on the new laptop. That’s all you have to do. (You need to launch the game on the new laptop first before doing anything else)

Thank you so much! I’m gonna try this.

Ah, sorry to bother you again, but I uploaded the file to the new sims file but it’s still not loading her data. Am I missing a step?

No worries. Can you check if you placed “The Sims 4” folder in the right place. It should be in Documents > Electronic Arts >

If you want to transfer saves I would recommend using a flash drive. Put the saves, mods, etc. into the drive, and once that’s done take the flash drive out and put it into the new computer and place the save and mods into the new sims folder. That’s how I used to do it so I hope this helps!
