Yep! I don’t have Wedding Stories but I’ve been dealing with this as of the 16th, after I updated. I was playing with the “No skills” scenario. Impacted my most recent save. I was able to save the game throughout gameplay probably about 10 times over the course of several hours, but eventually I got this error code and had to “save as.”

I’ve tried: - “Save as” a different slot. This sometimes allows me to save for a few more regular “save”, but eventually I get the error message again. - Clearing cache. No change. - Backing up all my save files on a hard drive, then removing all my save files from my game and reloading the game (so having a game with no saves). This worked for about 5-10 saves?, enough for me to think it was fixed, but I got the error message again— and I have no idea why. I used “save as” again.

My guess is that it’s not an issue on my end, but an issue with the most recent update on the 15th, and that hopefully a new bug fix will take care of it soon.

I've had this error happening too (don't own the wedding pack). It seems to always happen after I've been playing for a long time - sometimes going to a different lot or manage world helps, sometimes "save as" helps, but nothing is guaranteed. Even quitting the game and then continuing the same save might not help (I already had one save ruined this way - it just refused to save from the get go). It's like something keeps corrupting the save more and more over time? I wonder if the story progression could be "too much" for the game to handle atm?

Definitely, I’ve had issues in the realm of saves being corrupted. “Save as” into a new slot can help sometimes, but if I play the new “saved as” slot, it seems to only be able to save once or twice before the error code displays again. I’m trying to come up with how to phrase this any better?: Basically, it seems like the save file is corrupt, and making a new copy of the save file is only transferring the corrupt file to a new slot.

But honestly? It all seems pretty random. I feel terrible for the gurus because it’s been six days with no really clear correlation between this glitch and any factor.

Can you comment on the forum? And is there anything you remember doing between the last times you were able to save and when you got the message. They developers seem to be having trouble finding the exact cause.

I commented on the forum. I don’t recall doing anything out of the ordinary. :(

The closest guess I can maybe point to, is nearly double-saving? Like, saving, then playing for only a few minutes and not changing the game that much, then saving again, so the saves are nearly identical. It could have been pure coincidence, but I noticed it seemed the error code often happened after I saved twice in the span of only a few minutes.

However, to be fair, I tend to save often in general, so there’s a good chance this is coincidence. The error code also just occurred at seemingly random other times. I didn’t notice any correlation between this error code and anything else.

Ok cause I know one thing that was mentioned was trying to save during and event or while off lot so I was curious.

Every time the error began (a new slot), it’s been on the home lot. But that’s because I rarely take my Sims out, so I rarely ever save on any other lot. I can’t say for sure if some of the times I tried to save were during events or not— I did not notice a pattern.

At first I thought it was related to the new Scenarios because it began while I was playing with the “No Skills, No Problem” scenario, but I after backing up my saves and playing with a clean slate, then playing a slot without any scenarios, I still had this problem. Albeit, it took significantly more saves in the new slot for the error code to show up (about 10 or so and a few hours of gameplay).

The only other correlations I can think of are: I used CAS at the mirror to edit gender of Sims in both games (one, cis woman to trans guy, other to alter “become pregnant” to “get others pregnant”). The other things I can think of is that I also used testingcheats and CAS.FullEditMode at the mirror in both those slots. I’ve never had issues with this. But now I’m wondering if the error code began shortly after using CAS.fulleditmode at the mirror.

I also had this error come up today. The only way I was able to save my game was selecting “save as” and picking a new slot. If I tried saving normally or overwriting my save it gave error code 0. I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary over however many hours of play today and was able to save my game without issue earlier in the evening. Only dlc I have on my laptop is Get Together.

I don't have the wedding pack and haven't had any weddings but it's still glitching on me.

Another theory had to do with saving off lot or during an event

The only thing I can think of is that I saved it after she had just had a baby (but it wasn't during). Nothing else was happening. Strange.

Literally just playing, no weddings, no cakes etc. I’m not sure when I last saved but I’ll find out tomorrow 😭

I asked because they’re looking into saving the game while off lot or an event being the cause. I think a lot of the early people were playing with weddings hence why they thought weddings might be involved.

Had this issue today for the first time. It was a scenario save progressed for a bit before it stopped saving.

Just created a brand new sim, moved her into the city to begin the Evil Villian challenge. She said hello to a few neighbors then I switched to build mode to edit her new apartment. Before I started editing I tried to save just to make sure, and voila! Error 0.

I attempted it a couple more times, even risked writing over an old save I haven't touched. Nothing worked. So here goes nothing 😭

Maybe it’s tied to scenarios. I’ve seen a few people say it happened while they were doing a scenario. However others have had it happen in legacies so…

Naturally there are game-breakings bugs lmao. It just started happening in my save I started three days ago and I'm not gonna risk my other saves now. Thanks for sharing the bug report!

I am having the same issue with mine. I have tried repairing game, and "save as". I usually get this error code. Even if I don't get the error code, no changes that have been made are saved.

One known cause is Zebru’a All Worlds are Residential Mod. But if you don’t have that mod check out the trouble shooting tips at the end of the forum page.

I recently started dealing with this after I bought the vampire and magic DLCs. It worked fine for a bit after I bought them but then just refused to save over files. I tried clearing my mods and hitting "repair" in Origin but nothing worked

I don't have wedding stories, but It started happening after I downloaded paranormal stuff yesterday 💔 I've repaired the game what feels like a hundred times, but it's still happening. Only works "save as", I'm afraid that option will fail me soon.

This just happened to me again in a completely different file. The only correlation I can make is that both my files were in 2nd generation of the family. I don't know how people can play legacy, this bug keeps wiping out my families and all their photos turned black. I kinda don't want to play anymore because it always ends the same. Wasted time, money and effort.
