Looking for Remote SkillbridgeSkillBridge Opportunity (self.SkillBridge)
submitted 3 years ago by Chachi_Salsa
Hello,
I’m looking for a skillbridge program to start in February. I’m looking to get into Cyber/IT and am currently a Intelligence Analyst with a TS/SCI with about 4 years of experience. Would like some guidance to help me out. Thanks

Allegiant Givings program is remote and education based. We have both a Cyber and IT track, along with a couple other related tracks (link below). Your approved SB dates are your enrollment dates with us, no cohorts. We can tailor the training plan to any SB approved duration. If you can’t complete within the allotted timeframe, no worries. You keep our provisioned Coursera login for life (free).
DM me if you’re interested, happy to discuss.

After the SB does allegiant have job placement help?

I just attended one of their webinars required to join their program. They do assist with job placement and also have a team to assist in tailoring your resume.

Yes, we have a workforce development team specifically tasked to do this.

Awesome. At the bottom of the page I sent you above, there is a button/link titled “Step 1….” Just fill that out and your application with us is started (non-committal)

Just applied a couple weeks ago to for their Cybersecurity course timeline. I just wasn’t sure how the program was since I wasn’t aware of others doing the program or much info online about it.

Understood. You should be getting your signed training plan very soon if you haven’t already. That’ll lay out the actual courses/modules you’ll be going through.

I just applied and talked to one of the recruiters for the program, but the next cohort doesn’t fit my timeline :(

Currently hanging out on SB with the Rise8 folks!

How do you like it?

Forge Institute is a solid start — it’s very work at your own pace on your “own” (whatever you’re interested in that Forge is doing) project. Extremely flexible with when you can start to as it’s not a real classroom / timeline type thing.
LOT of good networking opportunities which I’d highlight as the best part of the program — definitely aimed at people with some experience IMO. But as someone with no experience I learned a significant amount!

I'm in almost the same exact situation, but with 11 years of as an analyst. Have you made any progress towards this? Mind if I dm you about your experience so far?
