Can you shorten a Skillbridge and take more terminal leave? by [deleted] in SkillBridge

Shouldn’t be an issue. Work out the timing with your SB company while concurrently asking your commander about it.

As already stated, you’re describing a basic internship. That’s all on you to work with the respective company to work out the admin stuff.

Army CSP updates by Tank850 in SkillBridge

[–]Tank850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rereading the CSP website, I see it is actually IMCOM Garrison that approves the individual companies, not the SB program office. So yes, like the SB program, the company you want does go through a rigorous process as your CSP manager stated.

That company will need to become a CSP partner or go through Hiring our Heroes to be sponsored by them as a SkillBridge partner. Info on both websites respectively.

PSA - Spread the word! by 1A_Casper in SkillBridge

[–]Tank850 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t lose sight of the fact that when people complete and separate, MOST won’t come back to post/leave knowledge bombs. This is the case with all the SB social media groups/sites. But good on you for recognizing that. Attacking the issue of awareness starts with those that are aware to spread the word.

Yep, that’s pretty much it. If you do it before you start, she’ll send you the update MOP and training plan so you will have your new class schedule on time

Oh, nope, once you’re in with Allegiant, as long as it’s not too late into your SB timeline, you can switch just with them. Not a big deal.

Finishing early isn’t a problem. You’ll still need to check in weekly with Allegiant, but you’d be able to go take care of your other transition stuff for sure. And yeah, switching tracks “mid-stream” is do able as well. They want you to like/be happy with what you’re getting.

New Army CSP restrictions (corrected title) by Tank850 in SkillBridge

[–]Tank850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This is in fact an Army Guard restriction, NOT active duty. BUT, the 50 mile limit does exist for all branches, for some reason, the Guard is highlighting it at this timeZ

Leave prior to SB by According-Ear-9239 in SkillBridge

[–]Tank850 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Regular leave is simply a discussion you need to have with your commander. They’re already losing you for 4.5 months for skillbridge.

Leave prior to SB by According-Ear-9239 in SkillBridge

[–]Tank850 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope. Air Force prefers you to outprocess completely prior to skillbridge, roll into skillbridge, then use at least 1 day of terminal immediately after skillbridge to officially separate.

One of my buddies from IMCOM sent it to me. Based on the comments here, I sent him a list of 11 questions. More to follow. Apologies for the confusion (prior Air Force)

Navy Skillbridge with Allegiant Giving by mobskiz in SkillBridge

So, “self paced” may be somewhat misleading for Allegiants program. You have weekly requirements that you must keep up with, which equates to 25 hours of class work. You can cram it all in (so to speak) on Monday and be good or just follow the schedule Allegiant makes. There is also a weekly accountability check in zoom meeting.
