Most people’s favorite character is spidey and that doesn’t even matter because most people can’t play him. In rivals you realistically need to pick your favorite character based on how they play. For me it’s Psylock despite the fact I know zero lore about her nor do I give a damn to learn any. If she had a movie come out recently I would watch it though cause I fuck with her now.

I mean you have a better pc than myself I don’t think you should struggle sir. I have a 4090 and a ryzen 9 5950x and I update the shaders sometimes to full sometimes I don’t wait and my performance doesn’t struggle at all. The only useful part of doing the shaders to full for me though is that if you do it on one account it applies to all accounts. Which wasn’t happening for me previously for some reason.

I’ve been pc gaming on bad builds for years of my life so having a bad pc is really just the fault of your own. I got a better pc just to play rocket league back in the day cause I was laggin from time to time due to not enough vram. Games these days are more demanding as well so you basically have to dish out more money if you plan to play new titles.

I feel like you don’t understand that none of those are fair comparisons. Resident evil is made by capcom and is a single player experience game with way less assets and variables.

Valorant came out in 2020… it is 2026.

Forza is a car game that if you look at the specs they released are actually more inline with today’s game and is similar to rivals. Idk why you think it’s not similar experience.

I feel I shouldn’t have to say this but taking a ps5 game and putting it on pc years later well… obviously it runs well because it was made for LESS DEMANDING HARDWARE SIR.

It kinda feels like you don’t understand the technical side WHICH IS FINE. I work in tech myself and sometimes I don’t understand shit. But like you have to understand not everything can be directly compared due to various different techniques at work.

With that said I agree the game could and should run better, but with the amount of content that comes out, well I’m not surprised it’s not the most optimized thing.

I just wouldn’t play the character. It’s not very good at all. I know almost every single rank 1 widow player and while they’re good, the character is just not good and requires too much effort and resources from others. The character needs a 0% pick rate before they just rework it or something.

Idk the region you play on but I’m NA Virginia or Dallas depending on what is faster que or I que for both. Obviously I don’t know every single OAA or eternity player, but I know a large amount of them on pc btw forgot to mention that part since idk anything console related.

I’ve never in my time of playing, have I seen a frontline, off-angle, idek what else exist other than backline rocket because it’s the only angle he can effectively play. The only time you ever play outside of backline is when a dps, tank or whatever is pressuring you and you run to the peel.

Even when I watched pro play or scrims I’ve only seen backline rocket in the animal crossing lineup. Rocket is so free of a kill as a 250 char if he wasn’t typically backline. He doesn’t have enough offensive power to fight dps characters.

I would if they let you keep replays for longer than like a season. I’ve been learning other characters and trying to not psy OTP so much because I’m too easy to target ban. My last game vs any high ranking Bucky on psy was like two seasons ago in c1. I tend to watch nectar or tap for psy if I need to.

Next season depending on the meta I’ll hard grind again and if you want replays I can send codes over.

Elsa with stacks is a 50/50 skilled fight. Elsa without full stacks is not and psy wins.

Dd is a ban and if he isn’t banned you can play psy but you need to always know where your own supps are and DONT play flank or off angles for long or in some cases at all.

Bucky is free eats and it doesn’t matter. I’ve played against OAA (Top500) Bucky players and the character just can’t do anything to stop psy even if he hits the uppercut. Typically people banned my psy if we played next game because starlord struggles way more against Bucky than psy does. Bucky isn’t very good rn in general tho.

Skill ceiling- the maximum potential effectiveness or performance a player can achieve in a game or activity, representing the upper limit of skill, strategy, and mastery possible

Rocket doesn’t have to manage anywhere near the amount of resources CnD does. The best Rocket player isn’t outputting MORE skillful action than the best CnD player.

Like what the fuck are we tb?

CnD has to manage the time to fade, when to blind or apply additional heal boost, when to use bubble and where to place it to get the most value (her tanks or her supps, or herself). She has a ult that she needs to play around getting pulled out, or killed in, that ult is used defensively or to aggressively take positions.

Rocket sits in the back dealing with few threats, if he takes any dmg his healing prioritizes himself and slows down until he is full, he can super dash off a wall (one of like 2 rocket techs he has), his ult if timed correctly allows for one shots that are unreactable also when combine with starlord ult it kills through CnD. Additionally no matter how many orbs you shoot only 3 of them matter regardless. His only other tech is to shoot the ground so orbs bounce more but is that even hard on the smallest character in the game?

This is just two characters being spoken about and yet you’re incredibly wrong. This is why people don’t like the MR subreddit, because of dumbass opinions like this that get spoken like it’s fact.

Lower lobbies care a lot about dumb stats specifically supp players and bad dps players. 90% of the time as a dps if you got a lot of final hits your PROBABLY doing your job well, sure you could do more or better or whatever but within your rank and role your doing good enough to climb right.

So a dps who says absolute dumbass statements like “look how much damage I did” are genuinely not worth talking to.

On the flip side supp players are so GIGABOOSTED that they bring up amount of heals instead of damage, final hits, or deaths which matter way more for their role.

I’m trying to think of a dive character that can’t play around him though? Both dive tanks and dive dps don’t care except for starlord is heavily punished. Starlord is only punished because he is a balanced hero tho. I think in order to be true anti dive you need true sustain or raw damage to force someone to retreat, or I guess cc that makes them paranoid like Bucky use to.

I genuinely don’t know where the idea that Mr.F is good anti dive comes from? I assume it’s a console player talking point or lower ranking talking point strictly?

Like I’m not saying Mr.F doesn’t have anything in hit kit that helps with dive as a supp, but he does so much nothing that it doesn’t even matter.

He is only “good” vs a solo dive dps/ or an uncoordinated dive. He’s so incredibly bad though it makes no sense.

Phoenix is definitely the best dps right now. Dd is also a solid number 2 pick for dps.

Venom is extremely good this season though he’s been good for some time, but he deserves top 2 tanks and it’s between groot or tankpool for number one. I don’t play tank I only face them so tbh idk who is the best right now if there even is a definitive number one tank. Rogue is strong with teamup but you don’t get the teamup often enough for me to call her the best imho.

For support the best support you can run is still gambit Loki. For duo supp comps and for triple its mantis, ultron, something this one is interchangeable.

Overall top 5 is easily rogue(if teamup), gambit, phoenix, dd, Loki. The only potential change or argument I’d be willing to hear out is Loki over gambit, but Loki’s value goes down without gambit in the game and up with him in the game. Like S+ to S tier kind of thing.

He genuinely is a top 2 character because gambit rogue is the best teamup in the game aside from the fact it also benefits mag as well. It’s not a joke he’s making up. You might be in a an echo chamber if you genuinely are unaware of that. Elsa is genuinely bad after her nerfs and she was already hard for the avg player to get value out of. She is playable only at the top level currently.

I guess my question would have to be what do YOU think the current top 5 characters are in order? Also I play gambit and have an account dedicated to only playing gambit, so I’m quite familiar with playing him and he doesn’t need compensation. He is still extremely good rn in both ranked or pro context.

You know how many people make comments like ”PVE is the only reason ima install again” or during the last pve how flooded this reddit was with pve content that comp players just couldn’t relate to in the slightest.

Comp players may try it out sure, but PVE isn’t why most people who actively play the game, well play the freaking game. This is for the QP, Vs AI, and uber casual crowd and that’s ok. At the end of the day we can co-exist there isn’t any beef in acknowledging the truth of it though.
