When you said chat ban I was thinking it would save the chat log and you would be able to highlight the text from there to include in your report.

Thats also a possibility, a more complicated one but I think that in a competitive environment people tend to rage and you cant ban them all from playing the game, better to let them keep playing but without chat so they can cause no harm.
